Seafreight Line assists with relief goods to St Lucia
Seafreight Line has donated its services to deliver the first 40-foot container of relief goods to St Lucia from Jamaica. The Government of St Lucia declared the island a national disaster after being hit by Tropical Storm Tomas.
With the assistance of Seafreight Line, Jamaican manufacturers and business entities, in association with the Government of Jamaica, have come together to donate relief items, in support of the humanitarian effort to aid St Lucians in their time of need. The corporate entities are: National Bakery, Boss Furniture, Wisynco and Rainforest Seafoods.
The first container was loaded to the vessel, Stadt Rotenburg Voyage 31, which sailed Kingston on Friday, November 12.
Seafreight Line offers weekly Caribbean service from Jamaica to St Lucia, St Vincent, Haiti, Suriname, Trinidad, Aruba, Curacao, Grenada, Guyana, Panama, Venezuela and Florida.
