Veteran actress makes guest appearance for final St Andrew show

Screen and stage star Audrey Reid joins the cast of Judgement for two special performances this weekend.

Judgement officially closed in St Andrew last Sunday but, by popular demand, the producers have brought the show back to St Andrew for one show today at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre.

Response to the play has been overwhelming since its opening in December 2010. Today's show is a special benefit performance to assist several groups with their fundraising efforts.

This will be followed with another major performance tomorrow at Colonel Cove in St Thomas.

Reid has showcased most of her craft overseas, particularly in England, and has an impressive repertoire including Shakespeare, melodramatic and religious-themed productions. Popularly known for her role as Marcia in the film Dancehall Queen, she has also starred in the films Third World Cop and Almost Heaven. She has held major roles in productions such as Bups, Obeah Wedding, Higglers, Some Like it Hot, Boy Blue, Irie Neighbour, Strength of a Woman, and It's a Dancehall Ting.

Reid is a regular feature on local television where she lends her expertise as a judge on the Tastee Talent Trail series and holds a major role in the sitcom Mi and Me Kru.

Alternating with Deon Silvera, Reid will be joining a stellar cast which includes multi-award winning actors Dahlia Harris and Christopher McFarlane.

Written and directed by Dahlia Harris, Judgement is a startling examination of love, friendship, revenge and self-preservation. Audiences and critics alike have hailed the production as a powerful story that unfolds through a delightful mix of fast-paced drama and side-splitting comedy. Tickets for both shows are $1,200 pre-sold and $1,400 at the gate.

Ticket outlets include York Pharmacy in Half-Way Tree, Miami Heat in Cross Roads; and for St Thomas, Lloyd's Pharmacy. For additional information and ticket reservations call 352-6180.
