The high fashion, the even higher strappy heels, thumping music and, of course, the paparazzi; sounds like Caribbean Fashionweek (CFW) is already here! But all that aforementioned glitz was only the launch party for this year's staging, at the posh Studio 38 on Tuesday, where one of the after parties will be held during next week's shows. The Corporate Area rain had threatened to make it an overly chilly night, but the hot women and great vibe only helped to warm the place up as the venue quickly became packed with the partying public. The 'regular' Studio 38 crowd didn't mind the 'invasion' either, as it was definitely a case of the more, the merrier.

Pulse International plans to start the second decade of the hugely popular and successful CFW on a spectacular note. Apart from the ground-breaking fashion you expect from the designers and the innovative support through various products from the sponsors (like the spanking new Audi A7 which will roll out during CFW), the entertainment is also once again world-class. Local artistes Beenie Man, Tanya Stephens and Mavado will rock the National Indoor Sports Centre along with Caribbean bigwigs David Rudder and Machel Montano, as well as American R&B crooner Joe. Judging by Tuesday's get-together, the fashionistas can hardly wait for June 8!

Among those out were: Hilary Phillips, QC, Ashley Martin, Lois Lake Sherwood, Safia Cooper, Judith Denton, Carlene Edwards, Robert Polack, Joy Bennett, Stuart Smellie, Kavelle Christie and Scott Collins.
