Travelport names new regional director

Travelport, one of the world's leading providers of global distribution systems, including the Galileo and Worldspan platforms, recently named Erika Moore as its new regional director for Latin America and the Caribbean.

She has been tasked to focus on building Travel-port's presence in the region.

"I am eager to take on the challenges of this position. Latin America represents one of the fastest-growing regions in the travel industry, and I will work to ensure that Travelport's technology solutions continue to support and promote advancements for the approximately 3,000 traditional and online agencies that we serve in Latin America, as well as many of the region's airlines and other travel suppliers, tour operators, travel aggregators and corporations," said Moore.

With a presence in 160 countries, approximately 3,500 employees and reported 2010 revenues of $2.3 billion, Travelport is comprised of the global distribution system business, which includes the Galileo and Worldspan brands and its Airline IT Solutions business, which hosts mission-critical applications and provides business.
