Jamaica's world-renowned dance company, L'Acadco, will perform some of their most popular and celebrated pieces when they stage 'The Best of L'Acadco: A United Caribbean Dance Force', tomorrow at the Courtleigh Auditorium in New Kingston.

The special performance, which is a fund-raising benefit for the Kingston Church of Christ, will feature 10 of the company's most outstanding dance numbers. The dances will showcase a variety of styles and musical genres including reggae, dancehall, and contemporary music.

L'Acadco's founder and artistic director, L'Antoinette Stines, has described the ensemble as "a showcase of consciousness, energy, vibrancy, and spirituality".

"We really wanted to bring a high level of our Jamaican culture to the stage, so the show is very passionate, full of energy, and we provide a variety of dances set to reggae, dancehall, and contemporary music," she said.

"We also took into consideration that we were doing a fund-raiser for the Kingston Church of Christ and we chose pieces that would celebrate spirituality because this is part of their effort to build their church," Stines added.

The L'Acadco director also stated that the line-up of dances is sure to delight patrons of all ages and varying tastes. The show will also include a solo number from special guest, Neisha Jones, the internationally renowned dancer who has performed on Broadway and in London in shows such as Lion King and Porgy and Bess.

"Our guests will get what they always get from L'Acadco: passion, energy, vibrancy, and professionalism. Our highly trained dancers have performed all over the world and have never failed to delight their audience, so from one dance to the next, you won't know what to do with your feet," she said.

Tickets will be available at the theatre box office as of tomorrow.
