Before the start of the recent two-day EduVision Conference at the Hilton Rose Hall in Montego Bay, the delegates were welcomed in fine style by the organisers at an EduVision cocktail.

The drinks flowed freely on Tuesday night and the minds relaxed before the 10th staging of the conference which began on Wednesday. EduVision was conceptualised as a meeting place of ideas and demonstrations of innovations facilitated by its partners. According to chair, Maxine Henry-Wilson, "Our theme, 'Transforming Education: Technology Making the Connections', is meant to allow for the exploration of thought-provoking ideas and global best practices focusing on the application of technology in education, training and development."

Among the topics that were discussed during the conference are alternative energy, ICT engagement and applications, quality assurance, research, and policy development. There were feature presentations on robotics and animation as tools for education delivery and a Mission Impossible Possible app software challenge. Here are the highlights from the reception.
