LIME debuts 'Hub Ready' Solutions at Expo 2014
Patrons of the JMA/JEA Expo 2014 were among the first in Jamaica to experience the new Samsung Galaxy S5 and the emerging Huawei P6, which has gained huge popularity globally. Along with the mobile devices, LIME also showcased its cutting-edge WebX Teleconferencing Solutions; among other productivity enabling tools and solutions offered by the full-service provider.
"As the nation's value brand, we look forward to providing key insights to local manufactures and service providers of micro to large in size. We showcased the numerous technology solutions that we can offer these companies as they strategise to derive maximum benefit from the proposed global logistics hub," said Kim Lee, head of channel marketing, sponsorships, and promotions.
"LIME has developed a reputation for bringing the world's most modern and sophisticated technology to Jamaicans first. Expo Jamaica provided us with a unique opportunity to present the next big trends in technology to both patrons and booth-holders while bolstering our position as the telecommunications provider of choice," she added.
'continued support'
Regarding the full-service telecoms provider's participation in the biennial event, Lee said "LIME is very pleased to continue its support for Expo 2014 and we acknowledge the event's importance to the people of Jamaica. The expo's sub-theme also coincides with our mission to help make Jamaica the logistics hub of choice."
LIME, as a major sponsor of the recent four-day event, made the handsome contribution of $3.5 million to the JMA and the JEA towards making the event a success.
According to Lee, LIME's support and presence at the expo signified the company's ongoing commitment to use information and communications technology (ICT) to provide opportunities for business owners to increase efficiency by providing modern and affordable communications solutions.
Using one such solution upon entering the National Arena, patrons were able to connect their smartphones or tablets to a Wi-Fi hotspot powered by Meraki - a LIME partner.
Ongoing demonstrations and ICT consultations for patrons in addition to discounts on high-end devices were also available at the LIME expo booth.
