JNBS positions made redundant
The positions of 21 senior management and supervisory positions at the Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS) have been made redundant.
The Society says the employees holding the affected posts demitted office yesterday.
General Manager of JNBS, Earl Jarrett says the redundancy exercise comes against the background of the efficiencies being gleaned from the implementation of a series of development strategies.
The strategies include a new JN Sales Culture, re-organization of the Mortgage Department and benefits from new technologies introduced during the past year.
Mr. Jarrett has also pointed to the impact of the global economic fallout on the national economy.
Human Resources Executive, Karen Smythe-Witter says outplacement service and transition counseling sessions are being provided for persons leaving the Society, and various benefits will continue for the next six months.
