Senior puisne judge Marva McIntosh will this morning continue her summation to the jury at the murder trial of Assistant Commissioner Gilbert Kameka.

The case is in its eighth week in the Home Circuit Court.

Thirty-three witnesses have been called to testify for the crown and four for the defense.

The 48-year-old Assistant Commissioner Gilbert Kameka was shot dead in Irish Town, St Andrew on November 29, 2007 in an alleged robbery at a house.

Twenty-six year-old Massimassa Adams, of Industry Village, 18-year-old Kemar Dawson, of Standpipe, and 21-year-old Rohan Townsend, of Irish Town, all in St Andrew are charged with the murder.

Eighteen year-old Tina Gaye McGowan, of Mount Industry in St. Andrew, was also charged with murder, but that charge was later withdrawn.

However, last year, McGowan pleaded guilty to conspiracy to rob Kameka.

She was given a three-year suspended sentence.

This means that she will not go to prison, but if she commits another offence in three years she could be placed behind bars.
