Jamaica gets World Bank loan

The World Bank has provided a US$15 million loan for small scale agricultural producers and tourism product and service providers in Jamaica.
The funds will enhance the work of the Rural Economic Development Initiative, which is aimed at improving market access for these persons.
While accepting the loan, Mr Shaw also welcomed the establishment in Jamaica
of offices of the International Finance Corporation of the World Bank Group, to promote private sector investment in infrastructure and small business.
