Investigators have charged the policeman who was arrested on Sunday after more than 300 pounds of ganja was found in his possession.

The constable has since resigned from the Jamaica Constabulary Force.

Spokesman for Operation Kingfish Sergeant Jubert Llewellyn said the former policeman was charged this afternoon after days of interrogation.

This morning Acting Police Commissioner Owen Ellington met with the six policemen who had arrested the constable.

The Acting Commissioner commended the men for their action and urged other members of the Constabulary Force not to be intimidated by their own colleagues.
