Health sector reclassification document to be disclosed today

Public sector health workers are expected to know today how their jobs and salaries will be affected by a reclassification exercise.



State Minister in the Finance Ministry, Senator Arthur Williams is expected to present the document, which will outline the adjustments to health sector groups.



Senator Williams said the technical aspects of the job evaluation exercise are far advanced.



In August, the panel set up to review the reclassification exercise presented its findings to the Finance Ministry.



However, the ministry said it needed more time to work out the technical details of the exercise.



The reclassification will mean an adjustment to the salary and benefit packages of some public sector health workers.
