Taxi man shot

A taxi operator was shot dead and a teenager injured along the Sligoville main road in Spanish Town, St. Catherine last night.



The dead man is Wayne Walker, 28, of Lauriston, Spanish Town, while a 17 year old female was injured.



According to the police, Walker was shot several times after he stopped to let off a passenger along the roadway around 7.30 p.m.



They said the teenager was also shot during the attack.



Walker reportedly died in hospital while the teenager remains hospitalised in a serious condition.
