Murders latest reports

A 60 year old paraplegic man was among several persons killed violently in the corporate area, St Catherine, Manchester and St James in the last 24 hours.



The police say the elderly man was stabbed to death at the intersection of Tom Redcam and Caledonia Avenues in Kingston 5.



Its reported that about 3 p.m. yesterday afternoon, the man was at the intersection begging when he was approached by a man who stabbed him several times.



The man who allegedly committed the act has since been taken into police custody and is to be charged today.



The Half Way Tree police are yet to determine the circumstances which led to the shooting death of a 32 year old man on Old Hope Road in Kingston 6 yesterday afternoon.



Michael Jones was reportedly standing at a grocery shop when he was approached by a man armed with a gun who opened fire hitting him.



The man then escaped in a Toyota Corolla motor car.



In St Catherine, 46 year old farmer Albert Mitchell of Kentish District was stabbed to death at his house yesterday evening.



It is reported that Mitchell was at his house about 6 p.m. when three men entered the premises.



An argument reportedly developed between Mitchell and the men during which he was pulled onto the roadway and stabbed several times.



In Manchester, the police have arrested a man who was involved in the stabbing death of 44 year old carpenter, Emsley McLeary at Bottom Bay, Alligator Pond last night.



Its reported that McLeary and the other man were involved in an altercation during which a knife was used to stab him.
