KSAC fails to pay over deductions

People’s National Party (PNP) Councillor for the Duhaney Park Division Kevin Taylor is seeking answers from the Kingston and St. Andrew Corporation (KSAC), as to why employee’s statutory deductions are not being paid over to the relevant authorities.



According to Taylor, the voluntary deductions from the employees’ salaries have not been paid over for several months.



He wants the KSAC’s Finance Committee to respond to that concern at its meeting on Thursday.



Failing that, Taylor says he will be asking the Auditor General to intervene.



The PNP Councillor is also calling for an audit of the KSAC’s financial records.



Contacted a short while ago, KSAC Chairman, mayor of Kingston, Desmond McKenzie said he had no comment on the matter.
