Schoolboy squad departs for three-match tour of Fort Lauderdale
An eighteen-member all schoolboy squad is scheduled to depart the country this morning for a three-match tour of Fort Lauderdale.
The opening match will be against Haiti on Thursday, followed by matches against Barbados on Friday and a select team on Sunday.
All games are scheduled to kick off at 8 p.m.
The squad includes two members of Manning Cup, Walker Cup and Olivier Shield champions Jamaica College. Those players are midfielder Theo Campbell and defender Andre Messam.
daCosta Cup champions Rusea’s High received three picks. The players are midfielder Jermaine Woozencroft, striker Bryan Brown and defender Wonique Pinnock.
St Elizabeth Technical High School also received three picks in goalkeeper Gregory McKogg, striker Denmark Gillings and defender Ackeemo Palmer.
The remaining members of the squad are Jermaine Thompson, Rohan Roye, Akiel Barrett, Ewan Grandison, Vincent Mitchell, Johnoye Singh, Sergio Campbell, Deshawn Forbes and Neco Brett.
Anthony Williams has been appointed coach and will be assisted by Delroy Brown and Merron Gordon.
