The Grenada government has announced a three-month amnesty for illegal immigrants who are employed.
The exact details of when this will take effect are still to be discussed with the Attorney General.
The Labour Ministry said the government is losing money from foreign workers who failed to apply for work permits.
Labour Minister Glynis Roberts said the government is also concerned that some employers were bringing in foreign workers who arrived on visitor visas and then tried to apply for work permits.
