The Tourism Ministry is maintaining that the $140 million spent on activities to promote Jamaica leading up to and during the London Olympics was money well spent.
In giving a break down on expenditure Director of Tourism John Lynch told reporters this morning that £50,000 was spent on public relations and advertising in relation to the setting up of Jamaica House among other things.
He said Jamaica House has also been registered up to 2020 on the website and that the government now owns the Jamaica House domain.
In the meantime, President of JAMPRO, Sancia Bennett-Templer, said focus was also placed on maintaining a relationship with the Diaspora through special business sessions.
However, she said contracts are not likely to be signed with investors or businesses until between six months and a year.
