Come January, The Ministry of Education will run a pilot of the revised curriculum for Grades1 to Grade 9 students.

Education Minister Ronald Thwaites notes that the curriculum was revised to bring about a shift in the classroom with a renewed focus on critical thinking and analysis.

Thwaites stresses that the ministry wants to produce Jamaican students who are well-rounded and who can effectively contribute to the development of the country.

The education minister says the revised curriculum will be piloted in 24 schools among Grade four to Grade six students.

And he says teachers in these schools have been trained in the use of the curriculum.
