Car kills elderly man in St Ann

An elderly St Ann man was killed in a vehicular crash along the Coconut Grove main road in the parish last evening.
He is 70-year-old Leigh Moodie of Content Gardens, St Ann.
The Corporate Communications Unit of the police force reports that about 7:00 p.m. yesterday, Moodie was crossing the roadway when he was hit by a Toyota Corolla motor car. He died on the spot.
The scene was processed by the Accident Investigation and Reconstruction Unit and the body removed to the morgue.
The driver of the motor car tested negative for alcohol use. However, he was warned for prosecution, pending the outcome of the investigations.
