Gas prices increase

Motorists are to pay 11cents more for gas when they go to the pumps today.



The state owned oil refinery Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica (Petrojam) said crude oil prices continued to be high due to political tension in Pakistan and escalating violence in Nigeria.



Unleaded gasolene 87 will be sold for $60.30 while the price of unleaded 90 will cost $61.74 per litre.



Automotive diesel oil will cost $62.05 moving from 12 cents per litre.



The price of kerosene goes up by 9 cents per litre to sell for $62.15.



Cooking gas will cost $38.93 per litre following an increase of $1.67



Retailers will add their respective mark-ups to the announced prices.
