Vessel-boarding representative

Well established shipping company in Kingston invites applications for the position of boarding representative:

Key responsibilities include:

General vessel husbandry including:

Liaising with shipping lines.

Liaising with government authorities - Customs, immigration, quarantine and pilot, for ships' arrival and departure.

Attending to the welfare of the master and crew of the ship.

Qualification & Experience

First degree in shipping logistics or related discipline.

At least three years experience in similar position.

Skills/Knowledge/Competencies

Excellent time-management and organisational skills.

Highly motivated and goal-oriented with the ability to work well in a team.

Excellent communication skills

Knowledge of the shipping industry.

Maintain quality service by adhering to organisational standards.

Sound knowledge of computer applications.
