Garvey into Ben Francis semis with 3-1 over Cornwall

Garvey Maceo returned to form to book their place in the semifinals of the ISSA/Digicel Ben Francis Cup knockout competition with a 3-1 win over Cornwall College at Garvey Maceo today.

The win signalled the return of head coach Merron Gordon with talisman Cleo Clarke scoring in the first and fifth minutes before Nevaughn Myrie converted a penalty in the 42nd.

Deshawn Evans pulled a goal back for Cornwall in the 60th minute, but the ‘Cubans’ held on to seal the win and progress in the competition.
