Tourism Product Development Company Limited (TPDCo) is inviting Jamaicans to showcase the people, places, traditions, and experiences that define the nation’s character through the Island Identity Photography Contest, a key feature of the Heritage360 campaign.

The competition invites both amateur and professional photographers to submit compelling images that capture and celebrate Jamaica’s rich cultural heritage and unique identity.

In a press communique, TPDCo said the initiative gives participants an opportunity to tell Jamaica’s story through their own lens while helping build a greater appreciation of the country’s heritage, culture, and way of life. In addition to national recognition, entrants will compete for cash prizes totalling $450,000 along with resort stays, attraction experiences, and Heritage360 gift baskets.

The first-place winner will receive $200,000 in cash, a two-night resort stay courtesy of Princess Hotels & Resorts Jamaica and Couples Swept Away, attraction experiences, a Heritage360 premium gift basket, and a recognition certificate.

The second-place winner will receive $150,000 in cash, a two-night stay at Coco La Palm Seaside Resort, a day pass from Half Moon Resort, attraction experiences, a Heritage360 gift basket, a recognition certificate, and national exposure for their work.

The third-place winner will receive $100,000 in cash, a two-night stay at Jake’s Hotel, attraction experiences, including passes to Green Grotto Caves, a Heritage360 gift basket, and a recognition certificate.

Beyond the prizes, winning photographs will be featured at major cruise terminals and selected airports, providing a platform for participants to share authentic Jamaican stories with locals and visitors alike.

Through the contest, TPDCo aims to encourage Jamaicans to explore and celebrate the stories, traditions, landscapes, architecture, cuisine, and cultural expressions that contribute to the country’s identity while fostering a deeper appreciation for the nation’s heritage.

Interested persons are invited to submit original photographs that capture authentic aspects of Jamaican life and culture.

The Island Identity Photography Contest opened on October 10 and closes on October 31. Additional information on eligibility requirements, entry guidelines, and submission details is available at www.tpdco.org.
