The trial of reputed gang leader Uchence Wilson and his 23 alleged cronies experienced a delay yesterday, after the revelation that presiding judge Chief Justice Bryan Sykes was not able to attend.
Court was scheduled to resume at 2 p.m.
In an apology read by Justice Georgiana Fraser at the Home Circuit Court in downtown Kingston, the Chief Justice said he was not able to make it because of an out-of-parish engagement.
He also said that he would work out how to recoup the lost time.
The trial is set to continue today.
