There are dream houses and there are dream houses, and then there’s this possible mother of them all – an architectural extravaganza the likes of which eyesight has never encountered before.

The butler opens the front door and receives you into this monolithic, 20,000 square-foot spatial composition that sets a new standard in palatial living with luxurious accommodations that include: five bedroom suites (with vaulted ceilings, two-storey closets, and balconies), inclusive of five rainshower – spa bathrooms.

The foyer (entrance hall) has a bridge over a koi fish pond inside the house. Living and dining areas (formal and informal); a sumptuous island kitchen; office/library; three powder rooms; a home theatre for a cinematic experience; recording music studio; a hair salon; wet bar; gaming room for the ultimate in recreation and a fitness centre. There are two separate internal access staircases (front and rear), with one flaunting railings of clear glass. Appreciable seaviews receive exhaustive attention from the majority of rooms.

The indoor features and finishes will certainly floor you with: astonishing ceiling works of art illuminated by 1,300 fibre optic sparkling lights at night. During the day, the crowning multiple roof skylights radiate sunbeams within. Be impressed with Venetian plaster with its marble-look expensively applied to walls. Granite, marble, and porcelain enhance most areas, along with gorgeous Jamaican antique and European furniture pieces.

The outdoors sizzle with an outdoor grill and bar, an infinity-edge pool with a stimulating circular waterfall spa, and a swim-up bar. A pool terrace, gazebo,a hot-soaking tub, an entertainment deck, a koi and shark fish pond, and outdoor showers.

Not to be omitted from the splendiferous array of amenities are a putting green for the golf enthusiasts, a half–basketball court, and a badminton court in a garden environment.

This Mediterranean–style mega mansion imagined for a Caribbean lifestyle took all of 10 years to build in St Ann. It is owned by vocalist, Singing Melody (Everton Hardweare) and his wife Ruby Robinson, an information technology guru.

In 1492, Christopher Columbus landed in Discovery Bay, “discovering” Jamaica. In 2022, we arrived in Discovery Bay uncovering this dream house. Five hundred and twenty eight years later, triumphant revelations are still being made in the area.
