INDECOM probes 3 shootings
The Independent Commission of Investigations, INDECOM is probing three shooting incidents yesterday.
The incidents resulted in the death of two men and the injury of another.
In the first incident, a motor cyclist was shot and injured by a member of the Constant Spring branch of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) who were on patrol in the Manor Park area shortly after 4 yesterday morning.
The man was taken to the Kingston Public Hospital (KPH) where he received treatment.
In the second incident, a man identified as Donnavon Campbell was allegedly shot after a team of police officers entered the premises where he was with a search warrant.
A confrontation allegedly ensued and the deceased was shot.
He was taken to the Kingston Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The police reportedly recovered a fire arm.
INDECOM is also probing the death of a prisoner who was shot while trying to escape custody while on a medical visit to the National Chest Hospital yesterday.
