Man allegedly held with gun at Bog Walk hotel charged
Thirty-six-year-old Teino Carnegie who was allegedly held at a hotel in Bog Walk, St Catherine, with an illegal gun has been charged.
Carnegie, a resident of Portmore Pines, St Catherine, was charged on Tuesday with possession of a prohibited weapon and unauthorised possession of ammunition.
About 7:45 p.m. on January 11, police investigators went on an operation at the hotel and entered Carnegie's room where he was allegedly seen with a gun in his hand.
He reportedly jumped through a bathroom window and fell, injuring himself.
The weapon, a Beretta semi-automatic pistol loaded with a magazine containing two rounds of ammunition, was reportedly retrieved from him.
A court date is being arranged for Carnegie, who remains hospitalised.
