Man charged for alleged rape of 15-y-o girl in St Elizabeth

A 21-year-old St Elizabeth construction worker has been charged for the alleged rape of a 15-year-old girl.

Jerome Bartley, who is also a farmer, is also charged with grievous sexual assault and having sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 16.

The police say the alleged incident took place while the complainant was spending time with relatives.

Bartley was listed as wanted.

The police say he was subsequently taken in by his mother.

He was later arrested and charged.
