Slain veteran journalist Barbara Gayle was today remembered as a loving, jovial, and supportive person who impacted many lives.

Gayle's thanksgiving was held today at the Kencot Seventh-day Adventist Church in St Andrew.

The service was filled with family, current and former journalists, as well as prominent members of society.

There were several tributes from family and friends, who all recounted her warm spirit.

Gayle was found dead on December 16 last year inside her Caymanas Estate Phase One home in St Catherine.

Her GLA 180 Mercedes Benz was also stolen but found the following day along Dyke Road in Portmore, St Catherine.

Twenty-four-year-old Travis Ellis has since been charged with her murder.
