Woman pleads guilty to murder of elderly man whose body was found in comforter
Sadeen Green, who is charged for the 2017 murder of an elderly man whose body was found wrapped in a comforter at his home, today pleaded guilty in the St Catherine Circuit Court.
Green, 31, was remanded by Justice Bertram Morrison for sentencing on April 4.
Facts are that on May 23, 2017, the body of Fitz Albert Barnes was found wrapped in a comforter on his house located on Young Street in Spanish Town.
A medical examination revealed that the 67-year-old returning resident died as a result of trauma caused by a blunt force object.
An investigation was launched by the Spanish Town Criminal Investigation Branch, which resulted in Green's arrest on suspicion of murder.
Further investigation resulted in her being charged.
She has been in custody since then and has made numerous court appearances over the years.
She is being represented by attorney-at-law Althea Grant.
