A bus driver who left the scene of a hit-and-run in Trelawny on Saturday has been arrested and charged.

Forty-nine-year-old Dayan Williams of Granville in the parish was charged on Monday with causing death by dangerous driving, leaving the scene of an accident, and failing to report an accident.

Williams was charged after turning himself in to the Falmouth police in the company of his lawyer and was subsequently interviewed.

He was offered $300,000 station bail.

A date is to be arranged for him to appear in court.
