Nadine Molloy confirmed as principal of Shortwood Teachers' College
The board of the Shortwood Teachers' College has announced the appointment of educator and administrator, Nadine Molloy, in the role of principal of the college, following her interim service in the post.
Her appointment is effective October 1, 2024.
Molloy has served as interim principal since January 2024 after being seconded from Ardenne High School where she was principal for 12 years.
Chairman of the board, Grantley Stephenson, says the Ministry of Education, Skills, Youth and Information confirmed Molloy's appointment by letter last week.
He says the entire board has been impressed with Molloy's work for the year she has been interim principal at the college. He credits Molloy with significant improvement in the physical, academic and administrative environment at the college.
"This is a well-deserved and fitting appointment, given her sterling performance as interim principal, her strong spirit of excellence and for her dedicated service to the field, spanning many years" the chairman says.
Molloy holds a Masters in Library and Information Studies, a Masters of Arts in Education Administration, a Bachelor of Arts with honours in Language, Literature and Sociology, a diploma in teaching English and a certificate in school management and leadership.
