A minor earthquake with a magnitude of 3.6 was felt this morning in sections of Kingston and St Andrew.

The Earthquake Unit at the University of the West Indies, Mona, says the quake occurred at 3:47 a.m. and had a focal depth of 17 kilometres.

It says the epicentre was located approximately five kilometres northeast of Gordon Town in St Andrew.
