St Ann police investigating death of American woman

The St Ann police are investigating the death of a foreign national in the parish on Wednesday.
Dead is Carolyn Vermount, 65, of Bridgeport, Connecticut, in the United States of America.
Vermount, who reportedly suffered from diabetes and hypertension, was a guest at a hotel in St Mary.
Reports are that about noon on Ash Wednesday she became ill and was assisted to the St Ann’s Bay Hospital, where she died while undergoing treatment.
The Tourism Liaison Officer has been informed, and the St Ann’s Bay police are conducting further investigations into the matter.
