Man gunned down off Dyke Road in Portmore

The police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man off Dyke Road in Portmore, St Catherine last night.
He has been identified as 24-year-old farmer Showayne Nugent of the Cow Pen community, which is located along the popular corridor.
The police report that about 9:50 p.m., explosions were heard in the Cow Park community and the police were summoned.
The police say a team responded.
According to the police, on arrival, cops saw a trail of blood, which led them to Nugent's body lying on a dirt track near a pig pen.
The police say checks revealed that the body had what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds to the head and upper body.
The scene was processed, and Nugent was pronounced dead at the Spanish Town Hospital.
No motive has been established in the matter.
The Portmore Criminal Investigation Branch is probing the matter.
