National Trials: McLeod electrifies with world leading 110m hurdles win

Omar McLeod posted the fastest time in the world this year in the 110m hurdles, holding off Hansle Parchment and stopping the clock at 12.97 to win his first national senior title at the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association/Supreme Ventures National Senior Championships tonight.

McLeod was quick out of the blocks but had Parchment, who has clearly shaken off his injury concerns, for company with the University of Arkansas man holding off the Olympic bronze medal winner to register the joint 14th fastest time in history.

Parchment was second in 13.08 with Andrew Riley, the Commonwealth champion taking third in 13.35.
