Jamaica captured the top two spots in the final of the women’s 100 metres at the World Under-20 Championships at the Pascual Guerrero Olympic Stadium in Cali, Colombia on Wednesday.

Tina Clayton successfully defended the title she won last year as she strolled away from her rivals after 50 metres for an easy victory with Cole coming through strongly to capture the silver medal.

Clayton won a championships record of 10.95 seconds with Cole doing 11.14 as Shawnti Jackson of the United States of America (USA) won the bronze medal in a personal best of 11.15.
