Cedricka Williams claims first Champs record of 2023

Holmwood Technical High School's Cedricka Williams has broken the first record at the 2023 ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Athletics Championships inside the National Stadium this afternoon
Williams was in ominous form, breaking the Class I discus record, though she was competing in the preliminary round. Williams’ mark of 53.22 metres, surpasses the 53.02 set by Edwin Allen's Fiona Edwards in 2017.
Williams, in her final year, is chasing the Class I title after a disappointing seventh-place finish last year.
The final is scheduled for 6:56 p.m. tomorrow.
