Several organisations will participate tomorrow in a march across the Corporate Area and St. Catherine as part of the activities to mark Peace Day.

Chairperson of the Violence Prevention Alliance, Dr. Elizabeth Ward said the march should provide an opportunity for Jamaicans to peacefully protest against the escalating crime rate.

Dr. Ward said representatives from the ministries of Health and National Security, and several private sector organisations are expected to participate.

The march in St. Catherine will begin around 9am at Dempshire Pen to the Spanish Town Prison Oval.

Participants in the Corporate Area will begin the march at 3pm from three locations, Half-Way Tree, the National Stadium and Three Miles.

All the marches are scheduled to culminate at Ocean Boulevard in Downtown Kingston, where a peace concert will take place.
