More than 20 Workers from the J Wray and Nephew whose positions were made redundant last year are to be reinstated following a ruling by the Industrial Dispute Tribunal (IDT) today.
The employees who are represented by the National Workers Union (NWU) took their matter to the IDT because they believed that management acted improperly.
NWU vice president Granville Valentine says the IDT found that the workers were unjustifiable dismissed and should to re-instated.
He says the NWU will be seeking a meeting with company’s management some time this week to have discussions on the matter.
