Bus conductor stabbed to death

A bus conductor was stabbed to death by a man at the Montego Bay Transportation Centre in St. James yesterday.



He’s 19-year-old Mashario Ashmead of Cambridge district in the parish.



The police say shortly after 1 o’ clock Ashmead was at the transport center when a dispute developed between him and a female student.



The student reportedly made a telephone call and shortly after, a man brandishing a knife approached Ashmead, stabbed him and then fled.



He was taken to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he died while being treated.
