Published:Friday | October 23, 2009 | 1:01 PM

The Police High Command is seeking the public’s help to find the persons responsible for the death of Constable Delroy Brown, who was murdered in Seaview Gardens, St Andrew last night.

The police say their colleague, who was assigned to the Constant Spring station was killed while leaving a friend’s house in Phase 2 of the community shortly before 8.00pm.

His service pistol was also stolen.

Anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the person(s) responsible for Constable Brown’s murder is being asked to call Police Control at 119, Crime Stop at 311 and Operation Kingfish at 811.

Constable Brown is the ninth police personnel to be killed since the start of the year.

National Security Minister, Senator Dwight Nelson says the policeman’s murder highlights the danger faced by civilians without the means to defend themselves.

Senator Nelson is calling for communities to forge a new relationship with the police force, based on cooperation and mutual respect.
