PNP executives to meet
People’s National Party (PNP) spokesperson Lisa Hanna said that the party’s executive would meet this week to discuss several issues.
She also said the PNP will be considering the possibility of returning to the Vale Royal talks.
The talks were suspended after PNP president, Portia Simpson Miller, took offence to comments made by Prime Minister Bruce Golding during the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) annual conference.
Ms. Hanna said the party would also be discussing the contentious Public Services Commission (PSC) issue.
Mrs. Simpson Miller has been trying unsuccessfully to prevent the Prime Minister from naming new members to the commission.
She wants the former members of the Commission to be offered a fair hearing by an independent and impartial tribunal into the allegations of misconduct.
