The University and Allied Workers Union, UAWU, has asked the Labour Ministry to undertake a Representation Rights Poll on behalf of workers at the Iberostar Hotel in Montego Bay, St. James. The union wants the ministry to conduct the poll to determine which workers union should represent the workers.

The UAWU says the management of the hotel has not responded to a request for a Representation Rights Polls to be conducted at the company. The first vice president of the UAWU, Clifton Grant, says under the law the hotel had fifteen days to respond.

The hotel workers are seeking the union to represent them on labour related issues.
