Shaw officially launches leadership campaign

Former deputy leader Audley Shaw launched his campaign for leader of the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) at the Manchester High School in Mandeville, Manchester this afternoon.

Dubbed ‘Road to Victory’ the Shaw team says invitations were sent to all 5,000 JLP delegates, members of civic society and members of the diplomatic corps.

And JLP leader Andrew Holness was nominated by Area Council One at a meeting set to begin at 3 p.m. at the Girl Guide Headquarters in St Andrew, as he launches his bid to maintain his position in the party's top job.

He was also be guest speaker at the function.
