Work to begin on Mandeville leg Highway 2000

Minister of Transport and Works, Mike Henry disclosed that work is to begin on the Sandy Bay to Williamsfield leg of Highway 2000 by April this year.
The south coast segment of Highway 2000 is aimed at connecting Kingston with Montego Bay.
However, the segment from Sandy Bay in Clarendon to Williamsfield in Manchester is to begin.
Mr. Henry said the roadway would help in the development of Jamaica’s south coast.
He also said funding is being sought, to begin constructing the Bushy Park to Ocho Rios leg of the north coast segment of the highway.
