The refusal of the People's National Party to participate in the upcoming political debates may affect the funding the party receives from members of the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ).

According to Mahfood, the PSOJ finds the PNP's refusal to participate in the upcoming debates disheartening.

Earlier today, the PSOJ leadership had issued notices to its members to take steps to disclose their funding to political parties and candidates.
However, the organisation noted that the disclosure would be voluntary.
