Muschett High School’s Shanoya Douglas began her ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys' and Girls' Athletics Championships bid for two gold medals with a magnificent performance in the final of the girls’ Class 2 400 metres inside the National Stadium this evening.

Douglas, who is also expected to compete for top spot in the Class 2 200 metres, clocked 53.03 seconds to outfinish Edwin Allen’s Kellyann Carr , 53.58, and Nastassia Fletcher, 53.98.
