Routes adjusted for rural buses travelling to downtown Kingston

The Transport Authority is to adjust the routes of rural buses from Manchester, Westmoreland, St Elizabeth and St Catherine that terminate at the Downtown Municipal Transport Centre on Water Lane.

Effective July 25, these buses will be rerouted along Spanish Town Road onto Industrial Terrace and then onwards to Marcus Garvey Drive.

The Transport Authority says the change is to facilitate the implementation of the extension of routes for minibuses which are now permitted to terminate in downtown Kingston.

The regulator is reminding operators that failure to adhere to the specified terminal points will result in sanctions as such practice is contrary to the conditions of their road licences.
